The wireless charging is handled elegantly enough. An inductive pad that's built into a laptop stand can accomplish a full recharge in "about the same amount of time" as a standard-issue cabled charger, according to Dell.
While smartphone maker Palm has a similar (albeit smaller) wireless charging system for the Pre, and companies like Visteon and Wild Charge have debuted wireless charging accessories for phones, no PC maker has incorporated the idea until now.
Along with Wireless charging, Dell is introducing: touch-sensitive controls on the screen's bezel, and its first take on "instant on."

Wireless charging!!! Wow!!
Its wireless but doesnt mean you can move it around while charging. It has to be placed on the induction/charging device. I believe the operating principle is similar to an induction cooker, ie Electro-magnetic induction.

Yes, it has to remain in contact, but I still like the idea of not having to plug in anything to the laptop.
Lovely. When I first saw some light glittering at the back of mobile phones in India (when someone received a call), I was surprised to learn... that they had the power to charge things.
Ever since that day, I was longing for a device, whcih would charge automatically(wirelessly)... hope that day isnt too far.
