2 Opinions:
I guess it is being blown out of proportion. One has to admire the amount of research that must of gone into creating the iPhone.
Any remarks with disdain only shows lack of respect for knowledge :P
iPhone - well it doesn't work for me. I gave it a go. Just didn't do it for me. I know lots of people who do use it and are very happy with it. BTW, the post wasn't about the iPhone.
It was - taking the same technology and stretching it out again into something that has very limited use, YET hailing it as a technological achievement.
But the iPad, or the Kindle.. I honestly don't see any utility for those kind of devices.
There were other devices I have commented on - which in my view were equally pointless (if not more) -
Twitter peek (an exclusive handheld for TWITTER!!)
Dual Screen Eee Reader
Ecco Pocket GPS
Peek (Email only device).
The iPad falls in one of those categories (for me, at least).
A tablet with extremely limited functionality.
