Unthinkable
The casting is impressive. In fact, that’s one of the main reasons I bothered with the film. Giving credit where it’s due, Samuel Jackson does a wonderful job. It’s been a while since I enjoyed watching him on screen.
I find it hard to take Michael Sheen (Yousef / Younger) seriously as a terrorist. A retard – yes. A terrorist – nope. The demands he makes just help in convincing me that he is more of a retard than a terrorist.
Carrie-Anne Moss (Agent Helen Brody) was behaving more like a college lecturer than an FBI agent. Found that rather ticking off. There are definitely better ways of depicting that character.
The film, on the whole (in my opinion) was ridiculous. The ‘demands’ were laughable. I am sure it will take a lot more than 4 nuclear bombs to change the policies of any nation – let alone America. Well, not unless one of those bombs were to be placed in, say – the Oval Office (That too, in my view would give them a small chance. Still no guarantee).
I hope my post doesn’t get flagged for that last line. It’s a movie review – people. Nothing else!
