“My Number” Not Showing On BlackBerry

The other day a friend of mine was complaining that he couldn’t get his number to show (when making an Outgoing call) on the BlackBerry and it has always been displayed as UNKNOWN. Personally, I don't see how that makes any difference, but - seemed to be bothering him a lot.

Turns out, there were quite a few of my friends who didn’t know where to set that up. One of the suggestion was “your Service Provider should set it up for you”.

Perhaps the Service Provider might be able to do it, but there is a much easier way. This is how you do it:

• Options > Advanced Options > SIM Card
• BlackBerry Key > Edit SIM Phone Number
• Type out your Phone Number

Yes, that’s it.
