The Amazing Spider-Man

More like, The Disappointing Spider-Man. Here is just one of the many "THIS is what you could come up with" moments from the film:

Peter Parker: I've been bitten.
Gwen Stacy: I've been bitten too!
Me: WTF?!

There are some good things too about the film:

Emma Stone – So much hotter/better than Kirsten Dunst. Definitely an improvement.

Andrew Garfield – Much better than Tobey Maguire. The Amazing Spider-Man isn't a pussy/sissy when compared to the one played by Tobey. This could be because of the characterisation or it could just be the actor.

All said, there are just too many things off about this film. You won't be missing much if you did give this a miss.

My main issue with the film was, the dialogues. The screenplay.

We all know the Spider-Man story, and there wasn't much screwing around with that. In fact I was delighted that this time the producers went back to Spider-Man having a web throwing/spitting mechanism made as opposed to ... err... ejaculating web from his body (as in the earlier film).

But the talk was... disappointing. At least for me.

Toby made Spidey seem like a bit of a pussy (I felt). So this Spider-Man was a welcome change.

If only someone paid some more attention to the dialogues...

Sigh... Hota hai, chalta hai... Duniya hai.
