Dexter - Season 7
As with every Season, my favourite parts are:
- Conversations between Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Harry Morgan (James Remar).
- Conversations between Dexter and Dexter/The Dark Passenger (voiceovers).
Isaak Sirko (Ray Stevenson) - Excellent addition to the Season.
Louise Greene (Josh Cooke) - Extremely disappointed. This character could have been so much better/stronger.
Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski) - Another good addition. Being easy on the eyes definitely helps. Reminds me a bit of Lila (Jamie Murray) from Season 2. Hannah is definitely better. A sensible strong female character that isn't totally dependent on Dexter. Just one episode - Episode 10 - The Dark… Whatever - where (in my view) the character slipped.
Nadia (Katia Winter) - Simple character included in a few episodes. Serves the purpose and then exits the Season.
Maria LaGuerta (Lauren VĂ©lez) - The ugly annoying cunt dies at the end of the Season. Clink.
Debra Morgan (Jennifer Carpenter) - Still don't like her. I can't figure out why she has to be such a loser. Depressing confused character.
6 Opinions:
I just have to comment.
Dexter has been one of my Favorite TV series. Thanks to you.
Isaak Sirko – Absolutely loved the character, has an air about him, classy, sublime and have done complete justice to the role.
Lousie Greene – Never noticed him.
Hannah McKay – Much much better than LILA but this one is dangerous and Dexter is IN love with her!! Ahem…. He becomes weak and is compromising with this lady and does not kill her though she perfectly fits his code. The Dark Passenger is slipping. She needs to go.
Nadia – Fine.
LaGuerta – Definitely annoying but does add some substance to the show
Debra – I loved her in Season 6 and Season 7 until Episode 9, then …. she went back to what she does best, being so lost, confused, agitated, lonely, disturbed….
LaGuerta - I just can't tolerate her. Not sure if it's the character or her face or the way she talks...
Lol. Im sure, it's not the character and it most likely is the face, the way she talks AND her accessories. It is quite distracting.
Just had this marathon viewing session with maybe a six hour break... finished Season 7.
Dexter has been special... not just the content of the series... but also how I got my hands on the series. *wink* *wink*
Really liked Isaak Sirko... a classy villain, one of the best the show has had. He reminds me a lot of George Clooney... though I prefer Ray Stevenson, especially since Rome.
I was glad to see Louise Greene go... last season I had expected him to play a major and interesting role... but he was just irritating me this season.
I hated Hannah McKay in the beginning (and part of it was because of your comment "Being easy on the eyes definitely helps.") and the rest of it is because I find Dexter's love angle B-O-R-I-N-G!
But, she turned out to be a strong character (read extremely likeable) towards the end. She does remind one of Lila, albeit a less pretty version of her... but Lila was a disappointment.
I absolutely loved Debra in this season, more than in the others... Confused, stubborn, impulsive, obsessive, abusive... falling for all the wrong men, vulnerable yet strong and absolutely fucked up... she reminds me of me... more than I'd care to admit.
And I am so gonna miss LaGuerta - Lauren rocked the character... and I liked the manipulative, scheming, backstabbing, save-her-own-ass attitude she had. Too bad they had to take her out.
Quinn is pissing me off... I liked it when he was cocky and full of himself... now he is going soft and that's never good.
And Dexter... ah well... when he was less emotional and more a clinical killer, I identified with him (of course, except for the killing part... that could have been me a few years back)... Now, he is getting all mushy and I am more Deb - a hyper-crazy, emotional train-wreck!
"I hated Hannah McKay in the beginning (and part of it was because of your comment "Being easy on the eyes definitely helps.")"
Err... What's wrong with 'Being easy on the eyes'?? :)
Isaak Sirko - Too cool.
Quinn - Agree with you completely on that one. I too preferred the previous version. It made more sense.
Dexter - One more season to go. Hopefully we will see a return of the calculating emotionally bankrupt killer.
The mushy thing didn't bother me (as much) with Hannah as it did with Lumen. I just couldn't tolerate Lame Lumen.
Debra - Now here I have to disagree. In my opinion, Debra just creates unnecessary complications. She makes a bad situation worse (in my view). And... I HATE the way she talks.
LaGuerta - NEVER liked her.
I cannot not like Debra... she is so current me. :) Unnecessary and wrecky!
